OKKO Karate Jutsu

Realistic Pragmatic Applied Karate

How many times have you heard someone say "i`ll get my friend on you"?  well id like you all to meet some of my friends, i bet there bigger than your`s.

It is commonly recognised that Martial Arts brings people together from all walks of life, people from different backgounds, race, religons and beliefs, i am proud to set this page up to the Martial Artists whom i have met and am honoured to call friend within the Martial Arts. We each come from different walks of life yet find friendship in a common interest, our love for Martial Arts Knowledge. you will notice that the majority of pictures you will view below all contain Sensei Iain Abernethy, this is because Sensei Iain teaches something we all find fascinating...Bunkai or the application of kata, we each hold Sensei Iain in very high regard due to his amazing amount of knowledge, his approachablility and the kindness and friendship he offers all. we are each honoured to have our photographs taken with such great man.

I consider the people on this page Friends for life, how many people can honestly say that?

Pictured above is Danny Corr from Zanshin Karate Jutsu and Sensei Iain Abernethy, OKKO have the Honour to be affiliated to Zanshin Karate Jutsu, Danny has achieved 4th Dan Black Belt under the British Combat Association and is highly respected as both an Instructor and student of Karate, I personally respect Danny not only for his Martial Arts Skills but for his Heart of Gold, Sensei Danny is one the worlds unsung Heroes, he is incredibly kind, generous, helpful and friendly. an all round cracking human being. I am truly Honoured to refer to sensei Danny as my friend.

Pictured Above is Eric Forsythe, Chief Instructor of the highly respected Mushin Karate club, I met Eric at Iain Abernethy`s instructors Seminar/Course in Carlisle November 2006,  i liked Eric from the first time i approached him and introduced myself, one of the most sincere down to earth people you will ever meet, Eric has a work ethic that would be hard to match, an incredible Martial Artist and a true gent, Eric has always made himself available to answer any questions i have asked, Eric passed his 3rd Dan Under Sensei Iain Abernethy on the 1st April this year, and is recognised by the British Combat Association. Eric also helped me before my 3rd Dan Grading under Iain only the week before, with words of encouragement and advice. It is my honour to be able to call Eric my Friend. Erics club motto says it all "To produce excellence without arrogance".

Pictured above, left Sensei Andi Kidd middle sensei Iain Abernethy right Sensei Steve Whyte.

I first met Andi and Steve at the Instructors Course in Carlisle, two of the most fantastic people you would ever want to meet, Sensei Andi made it possible for me to take my 3rd Dan Grading, by opening his Dojo a few hours early on the day that he was hosting Sensei Iain Abernethy, as if he didnt have enough to do, he still helped me as much as possible, Thanx Andi. Sensei Steve, Major in the British Army, and not a yellow pair of cords in sight, Sensei steve was more than happy to help in my recent 3rd Dan grading by smashing me in the face several times and sweeping my feet and knocking me down to the floor, Hmmm Thanxs Steve the lump is still on the back of my head, i will be always be gratefull of the help and friendship both Andi and Steve have offered me and OKKO,
